Hier ein Tipp um die Indexdatei der Google Desktop Suche zu verschieben.
Übersetzung folgt noch vorerst muss dies genügen….
By default the index is stored in C:\Documents and Settings\USERNAME\Local Settings\Application Data\Google\Google Desktop Search where USERNAME is your username on the computer. Local Settings is a hidden folder, so you’ll have unhide it. You can do this by opening going to the folder C:\Documents and Settings\USERNAME, then clicking on Tools -> Folder Options. Browse to the View tab, click on the radio button labeled Show hidden files and folders, and click OK. Now, make sure you exit the Google Desktop Search application before proceeding.
- Now, drag the WHOLE folder titled Google Desktop Search to a new drive or partition with lots of space. Lets say “D” so now your search files will be in the folder D:\Google Desktop Search. Please note that this must be a hard drive or flash drive of some sort.
- Next, click Start -> Run and type regedit.
- Navigate to HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Google\Google Desktop and change the value of data_dir to D:\Google Desktop Search (or whatever directory you moved the folder to).
Exit out of regedit and restart the Google Desktop search.
If all went well, you’re done and your search index in now moved to its new location!
